Friendly and helpful staff, fantastic and reasonably priced restaurant with a Michelin star, exceptional breakfast. Cozy room in traditional French style. Small hotel pool and large public pool nearby. English-speaking receptionist provided great recommendations for things to do and see in Vals le Bain.
Felt right at home, no complaints.

Everything was almost perfect. The wonderful restaurant "Le Viverais" is a must. Wonderful stay both for business or romantic purpose.
Not enough TV Channels on offer. Breakfast could be better. Rooms too small to my taste.

Ardèche's natural wonders, warm atmosphere, quality services, terrace, delicious local cuisine.
Oh, the beds were sooo comfy I couldn't get out of them! Now I'll have to book a longer stay so I can try the pool and the rest of the menu.

The Hotel Helvie in Vals-les-Bains had a delightful and nostalgic ambiance. The beautiful period furniture and tasteful decor throughout the hotel created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The spacious terrace, adorned with lovely teak furniture and colorful flower pots, provided a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. As a senior, I appreciated the hotel's accessibility, with well-maintained areas and convenient facilities that catered to our needs.
One small aspect that could be improved for a better vacation experience for senior people was the attitude of the staff. Although the children working there were generally friendly, it would have been more enjoyable if they were more attentive and understanding of our needs.

We had a blast enjoying the hotel's outdoor pool and tennis court, perfect for some family-friendly activities. The pool area was a great place to relax and soak up the sun, while the tennis court provided endless hours of fun-filled competition. It was the perfect way to keep the kids entertained and create lasting memories together.
For dads, it would be great to have a dedicated kids' play area.

I chose this hotel for a roundtable discussion and was impressed by the vast space available for major events. Whether it's conventions, exhibitions, product launches, or end of the year meals, the hotel provides the perfect setting. It's ideal for both business and leisure, making it a versatile choice.
The only service I missed for my work was a dedicated business center. Despite this, the hotel still provided a comfortable and conducive environment for my discussions and meetings.

I had a fantastic stay at this luxurious hotel! The location was absolutely perfect, right in the center of all the action. I loved being on a busy roundabout in the heart of town, as it made it so convenient to explore the area. The service here was top-notch, starting with a warm welcome from the friendly staff who offered me a welcome drink upon arrival. The room itself was beautifully furnished with stylish and comfortable amenities. I especially appreciated the terrace, where I could relax and enjoy the lovely garden views. The hotel also had a fantastic restaurant with amazing food that rivalled some of the best meals I've had in France. The wine list was extensive and impressive. the quality of service and comfort at this hotel was exceptional.
This hotel is highly recommended for families as well.
